The first quarter of 2022 saw significant activity among the top Maps and Navigation applications on the Android platform in Central America. Here’s a detailed look at the performance trends for the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides maintained a strong presence, with weekly downloads ranging from 106K to 169K. The app saw a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at 169K in mid-March. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, growing from 3.8M at the start of January to over 4.7M by the end of March.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 78K in mid-January and reaching a peak of 153K in mid-March. Active users for Uber saw a consistent upward trend as well, starting from 4.7M in January and reaching 5.9M towards the end of March.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed stable growth in weekly downloads, starting at 75K in mid-January and peaking at 104K in mid-March. Active user numbers also increased steadily, beginning with 1.6M in January and reaching over 2M by the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a moderate increase in weekly downloads, starting at 53K in late January and peaking at 78K in mid-March. Weekly active users also saw a gradual rise from 1M at the start of January to over 1.2M by the end of March.

Moovit: Bus & Train Schedules experienced consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting at 22K in early January and reaching up to 33K in mid-February. Active users for Moovit showed a significant increase from 267K in early January to over 434K by the end of March.
